I am so excited to finally be ready to launch this baby!

The Craft Your Voice Writing Course is Finally Ready for Registration!

If you’ve been kicking around With a K for any time at all, you’ll know what a big deal this is to me. Nothing is more important to me than helping women (and my own young ladies at home) to raise their voices, with confidence.

And this course is going to enable me to help a WHOLE lotta ladies do that. I think I’ve discovered the missing puzzle piece that a lot of entrepreneurs need in order to write their marketing copy…and it’s not marketing advice.

I want you to go look at Craft Your Voice some more, but first I have ANOTHER awesome thing to announce today (I know you shouldn’t have 2 different headlines, but these go together, so bear with me).

Design Your Process

Today, I am opening up a FREE mini course to help you Design a Writing Process that will work in your life to help you start the process of Crafting your Voice on your own.

It’s called “Design Your Process,” and it’s a 7-Day Writing Process Challenge, with videos, printables and activities to help you fit the Process into your individual life, within your particular kind of creativity.

Fun! Right? I’m quite excited about all of this right now, and I can’t wait for you to jump on board too. If you want to register RIGHT AWAY, click the button below, but come right back, because that’s not all I’ve got for you today, kitten!

This course is not currently accepting registrations. Check out the free #30DaysWithaK free-writing challenge now, if you want to start honing your writing chops With a K.

Here’s the best part though (I know! I’ve been busy):

You can get in on the Design Your Process Challenge now, and then you can enter to win a Scholarship to the Craft Your Voice workshop that starts on May 25th.

All you have to do is write a blog post before May 18th and come back here on or after next Tuesday to link your post up with mine.

Don’t worry; If you’re on the list, I’ll send you a reminder to link it up.

Write a post about how writing has been important to your business already, and what you would like to Craft with Your Voice next.

Then copy and paste this (and put it in the intro of your post):

[wc_divider style=”dotted” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

I’m participating in a Blog Link-up with Kris (With a K), from, because she wants to hear about the role writing plays in our businesses.

She is giving a Writing Workshop for entrepreneurs and bloggers, starting May 25th, and she wants to give away a scholarship to one of the lovely bloggers who participate in this link up. You can participate and get a chance to win too.

Just copy and paste this piece of text into the introduction of your blog post answering the question, “How has writing been beneficial to your business, and what do you want to Craft with your Voice next?” Link back to this post, so any of your friends who are entering will be able to find it for more info.

Finally, go back to Kris’s blog on or after May 12th to add your link to the link-up party there, and you could win a scholarship to her new course: Craft Your Voice. She’ll be drawing a name on the 18th of May for a full scholarship to the 6 week writing course, so you can write and link-up your post any time before then.

[wc_divider style=”dotted” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

I can’t wait to start reading all of your posts and hearing your stories about writing – not to mention your amazing new projects that you’ve got bubbling away in your minds.

I know you’ve got some. Don’t try to fool me.

You’ve got just under 2 weeks to get those posts out, so I’m going to let you go start brainstorming.

And invite your friends! The more, the merrier.

Click to Tweet: If #writing is important to your biz and you want a scholarship to a #writingworkshop for #entrepreneurs try this contest.

[wc_countdown date=”May 18, 2015, 9:00:00 PM” format=”wdHMs” message=”Time Remaining” labels=”Years,Months,Weeks,Days,Hours,Minutes,Seconds” labels1=”Year,Month,Week,Day,Hour,Minute,Second”]

But don’t forget to register for the free mini-course! I’m working my buns off, trying to give you as much information and fun as I can in one week, and you better get good and ready too, kitten – just in case you win that scholarship 😉

Kris With a K | Writing Coach

Kris is a writer, editor, illustrator, teacher, mother of two amazing young ladies - and enthusiastic cat-belly snuggler. A certified teacher, long-time blogger and experienced brand consultant, she writes about Writing, Business and Blogging...and sometimes about Changing the World.

  1. Very excited about the 7 day course and was hoping to try out for the scholarship, but I’m not blogging anymore. I also taught English, and I come from a family of writers and authors and teachers, BUT writing for an online market escapes me. I need to learn how to craft meaningful copy without sounding “markety” and pushy or just buzzwordy without substance. This is especially significant since what I do is design toy and doll sewing patterns to help parents and children play, unscripted by movie and TV characters, moved by their own storytelling from within. I have a newsletter and FB page, write product listings, and would love to have just the perfect landing page on my site.

    • Your product sounds like SO much fun, Allison!

It seems like the in-depth skills building of Craft Your Voice may not be what you need to get that landing page in order, but I do have a few VIP Day spots left before the course begins. If you want to work with me for 3 hours one-on-one, we can come up with an outline for your sales page that’s based in your customers’ experiences (no gimmicks or marketing robots allowed!).

If you want to learn more about how those days work, check out the description here:

Either way, the Process points will keep you in line and moving forward on your writing projects, and you better keep working on them! I want to hear more about what you do 😉

      • Ooh! Totally wish I could pick your brain and work out some online promo writing with you. Our finances are still tanked after 4 years married and starting over so no go right now. If something changes, I’d love to work with you. In the meantime, it may seem like I already know stuff like the writing process, but there’s always a new way to review old learning. I need to keep learning from the digital generation. 🙂 Thanks for this workshop!

But that old learning is a big part of my motivation. Just because kids are screen-fed story, that doesn’t mean they should be. My mission is to design “clean” toys, free from movie, TV, and video game scripts, for families who yearn to make, relate, and revel in the available world of extraordinary storytelling and play.

        • Sounds amazing, Allison!

Let me know how the course goes. I hope you get as much out of it as you can possibly squeeze out 🙂 and make sure to jump on the list to get the freebies I send out regularly.

The world needs your story! You better grab the mic and start telling it 🙂

  2. Hi, Kris!

I am so very impressed! Every time I think of your “purr-fect” intro, I grin! Your laugh was infectious!

You are going places, girl! I can’t wait to be in the front row of the Creative Live studio taking a live course from you!! 🙂

    • Haha Pantsie will get her day in the sun, Nancy. I’m thinking the last day will have a nice outtakes trailer or something…though I’ve erased quite a few already.

I’d LOVE to see you from a Creative Live stage. Let that go from your lips to the ears of Creative Live decision makers 😉

  3. Oooh, taking the mini course as we speak! 🙂
The scholarship offer is very tempting, but I can’t make any promises…

I agree with everyone, the video looks great! Looking forward to seeing more in the future 🙂

    • Thanks Jennifer!

It’s been an interesting ride, moving from teaching in person to teaching online (as you well know), and I think I’ve found another happy place for myself. Though videos can take FAR longer to make than the 3 or 10 minute end result might lead you to believe, it’s a lot of fun!

      Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

    • Awesome question, Red! No, you can totally make it whatever colour you like, so long as your people know what text to copy and paste.

  4. Dang K-Dub! You look totally pro! You look so relaxed and at ease, like you’ve been making videos your whole life. Very excited about your double launch <3

    • Thanks Red!

I haven’t been making videos all my life, but I might have been making videos my whole day 😉 What an interesting process and a great learning experience – which is one of my fave things to have, so it’s all wins so far.

  5. Can’t wait to let my fingers fly over my keyboard in the contest writing plus course materials!! Ready to rock my writing process!

    • Trish, you’re going to be a writing machine this summer!

You’re signed up to the #DesignYourProcess challenge AND the #CraftYourVoice course too. You are one step ahead, because the Challenge is actually part of the #CraftYourVoice homework in the first week. Look at you, doing your homework early 🙂

  6. I am so happy for you Kris 🙂 The videos are fantastic. This is such a great product and I can see that you have put so much work into it. My head is buzzing with ideas for my blog post already – I am never going to get to sleep tonight!

    • Thanks Cindy!
I’m having so much fun, building the lessons and making the printables up. I ended up with too much good stuff for the #CraftYourVoice course alone, so I made a free one for the whole Writing Process.

  7. I’m so excited about your mini-course! And the video is PURRRFECT! Love the music, love how natural you are in front of the camera, love your office in the background… can’t wait to watch more of them. 🙂

    • Thanks Sarah! It’s been a fun learning experience, and I’m really excited about the info I’m offering. I think it’ll be really helpful 🙂

  1. […] Not just for my sake, but in order to better connect with you, my reader. Kris’s course starts on May 25th, 2015 and I would be so honored to win this scholarship because one of my goals for 2015 is to improve my copywriting. And it excites me a great deal to meet someone like Kris who is so well endorsed by people that I admire and that I’m taking a mini-course from, which you can sign up for as well. […]

Impostor Syndrome blog post for entrepreneurs and creatives

Don’t listen to Impostor Syndrome; You aren’t JUST anything.

Impostor syndrome describes high-achieving individuals who have an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a “fraud”. Sound familiar? It should; a lot of entrepreneurs, creatives & world changers have some form of impostor syndrome. We work hard, & we do cool things. Then we hear lots of kudos for […]
